About the Institute
Welcome to IIM Amritsar. IIM Amritsar is the 15th Indian Institute of Management being set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development with the support of Government of Punjab.
IIM Amritsar is being set up under the direction and mentorship of IIM Kozhikode, the 5th oldest IIM and one of the premier management institutes in the country.
The first program being offered by IIM Amritsar is the Post Graduate Program in Management. The program has been conceived to provide world-class management education to meet the requirements of enterprises across sectors by producing highly skilled management professionals.
IIM Amritsar Society was registered on July 27, 2015.
The first batch of students for the class 2015-17 was enrolled on August 6,2015.
IIM Amritsar Board of Governance & Society has been constituted on October 14, 2015.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley laid down foundation stone for IIM Amritsar Campus on Jun 16,2016.
The second batch of students for the class 2016-18 was enrolled on July 16,2016.
