Srikishan Sarda College
Srikishan Sarda College was established in 1950. The college is popularly known as S.S. College, is one of the premiere higher educational institutions in Hailakandi. The college was named Srikishan Sarda College, after the name of the father of Srichand Sarda. The land of the college was donated by Late Pratap Chandra Nath, former Deputy Inspector (D.I) of schools. NAAC peer team visited the college in the year 2011 and awarded the college ‘A’ grade with a CGPA of 3.12.
The college is the oldest higher educational institution in the present day Hailakandi district. The college then was affiliated with Gauhati University, but after the establishment of Assam University, Silchar, the college gets its affiliation under this university from the year 1994. The college is recognized by UGC under act of the UGC act 1956.
